Cars of Dreams Museum Benefit Car Show
The Cars of Dreams Museum is only open to the public twice a year...once in the fall for the Sheriff's Office Benefit Car Show, and once in the spring for the Southeast Rods & Customs Benefit Show.

If you've not had an opportunity to visit this museum, you're in for a treat when you do! And if you can't, be sure to visit the website...it's full of photos.

The museum itself is FULL of cars, and as you walk around, you feel like you're back in the 60's, in a small town somewhere in New York.

The Old Guys are all South East Rods & Customs' members, and we were all there for the show on March 14th.

As is typical of the Old Guys, we made a weekend out of a one-day car show, first spending some time at Donnie's Hot Rod Shop in West Palm Beach on Saturday, then lunch at the Quarterdeck (always good food there!), then some prep work on the show field, then finally checking into the hotel late Saturday afternoon.

Dinner, as usual, was pizza, and breakfast was, as usual, at Terry's Old Dixie Cafe (another great meal!). Did you know it's still dark outside at 7:15 AM?

We arrived at the museum early, but we weren't the first to arrive. With about 40 cars already on the show field, it continued filling up before 8:00 AM. At the end of the day, there was about 450 cars, and between participants and spectators, EVERY space in the huge plaza was filled!

Bottom line...the entire membership did a fabulous job of managing this oversized show, and at the end of the day, South East Rods & Customs was able to contribute more than $20,000 to Hospice of Palm Beach County!

Photos will be coming soon!
