Show and Concert In The Park
We went to this show last year, enjoyed it, and had to try it again. We enjoyed it just as much...maybe even more...this year!

The Old Guys met at Cecil's in Altamonte Springs, where we did some odds and ends to the cars, before the 35-minute trip up to the hotel in Mt. Dora.

The cold front was in the process of coming through the area, and that put the skids on any outdoor activities Friday evening.

So we picked up a pizza, and started planning our 2010 summer trip, which will be Route 66...start to finish...for a total of about 7000 miles (more on the trip as the details become etched in stone).

Saturday, it was chilly (to say the least), but a relief after weeks of record-breaking heat in Florida. Kent and his Cruisin' Couples crew did a fabulous job all day.

Registration was fast and efficient, (especially when dealing with well over 200 cars), the vendors had lots to offer, and we were especially impressed with the new Taurus SHO that was on display. Yes, it's priced in the high 40's, but has a lot to offer, including air-conditioned front seats, and a 365 HP, twin-turbo V6.

The live entertainment was also very good, and as they did last year, the awards were hand-made by the club...VERY nice job!

With all there was to do, the day went by quickly, and we were back in the hotel before 4:00. We had already decided to have another pizza for dinner, and we would further discuss our Route 66 trip.

As it turned out, Phil and Nancy came back in the early evening, and we all went to dinner, then chatted the evening away.

Sunday morning, with temps in the high 40's, we headed for home. The convertible tops were NOT down this time, and the heat was on! It's been a while since we've had to do that!

Thanks again for a great show, Kent. I'm sure we'll see you next year!
