Hot Rod Power Tour - Day Two

After a really good night's sleep, we were on Main Street in Mayberry RFD at 7:30 AM. We took a couple pics, but all the parking in front of Floyd's Barber Shop was taken. What's an Old Guy to do, but double park, take the pics, and hope that Andy didn't give us a ticket!

We had breakfast at Slappy's, right next door to Floyd's. A complete breakfast...an egg, bacon, biscuit, gravy, and more...was $2.60. We went for TWO eggs, which was another twenty cents!

Then it was northbound for an uneventful ride to Cleveland. The trip through the mountains was awesome, but the rest of the ride was boring, and no fun. Why, you ask? Well, we used the GPS, and never got lost! That definitely took the fun out of the ride!

Sonny's Stereo Gremlin is still acting up, and he figures he can fix it for about $75. He's gonna buy a new radio at Wally World!

We stopped for gas, and decided to have lunch at Pizza Hut. We pulled into the parking lot, and lo and behold, there was a White Castle right next door. Where we decided to go was a no-brainer...the Sliders were excellent! Sonny said it doesn't qualify as fast food because we had to wait while they cookem them!

Now we're here in Cleveland, and will be here until Sunday morning. Tomorrow, sometime after noon, registration opens, and we'll be there. And tomorrow afternoon, we're going to the Flaming River Cruise In.

We gotta run now...this is interfeering with Happy Hour! More tomorrow.
